DAYTON, Ohio--SecurteX
International, Inc. a Dayton, Ohio based CCTV manufacturer of internationally
distributed digital surveillance solutions announces the launch of the NAVS(TM)
Universal Video Recorder (UVR) - next generation of SecurteX digital video
surveillance products. Providing flexibility to connect analog and/or IP cameras
simultaneously, this system eliminates all the shortcomings of traditional DVR
and NVR systems and employs all the benefits of both technologies.
NAVS(TM) (Network Advanced Video Solutions), developed by SecurteX 5
years ago, is a complete line of digital video recording products starting with
4-camera entry-level video recorders and extending to 32 cameras, including
extra-large storage, enterprise-level systems for mission-critical applications.
Offering DVR, NVR and UVR (combination of DVR and NVR) options on the same
platform makes the system a highly scalable and cost-effective solution for many
environments. "The UVR optimizes the way video is used in security and provides
our dealer partners better technology at substantial savings," commented Ted

The NAVS(TM) UVR allows users to take
full advantage of their preexisting resources like coax cabling and analog
cameras from previous surveillance installations and provides for easy addition
of new IP cameras by utilizing standard computer network or wireless network. If
purchased in a DVR configuration, the UVR system can be easily converted to
include NVR functions by just a software upgrade. If purchased in a NVR
configuration it can be transformed to accept analog cameras and DVR functions
with an easy hardware upgrade.
The NAVS(TM) UVR Camera Management
Software (CMS), including a PDA version, allows business owners and security
personnel to monitor live and recorded video from hundreds of cameras locally
and remotely. The NAVS(TM) Video Alarm Management Software (VAMS) provides for
active alarm response of SecurteX's video analytics Smart Video Technology
(SVT), motion detection and alarm inputs over multiple PCs or NAVS(TM) NOC-ONE
multi-screen control centers.
Built-in integration with most popular
POS/Cash Register brands, the NAVS UVR integrates with existing POS system to
link video and transaction detail into a powerful loss prevention solution.
Transaction data is superimposed over video. The database allows search
parameters for time, date, camera, merchandise and cash amount of sale. John
