Taxi Security Camera System

  • The TSCS for conventional taxis consists of a dual internal cameras* fitted above the rear vision mirror and an external camera above the driver's door.

  • The TSCS for maxi taxis consists of 2 internal cameras (depending on seating layout) and an external camera fitted above the driver's door.

  • All cameras  are fitted with infrared lighting so images can be taken in any lighting situation.

  • Images are captured continuously. The camera also has 'manual' and 'duress' image capture triggers.

  • Duress alarm triggered events are stored for 168 operational hours before they are overwritten by the system. When the duress alarm button is pushed, the camera takes images at a higher rate and stores these in the system. The images taken before the duress alarm button was pushed are also stored.

  • The camera doesn't need resetting after an accidental duress alarm. This has been a problem with other systems. There is also an automatic reset function in the event of a drop or loss of vehicle electrical power.

  • GPS and mapping software are included, with a separate independent GPS antennae. This allows each image to be marked with GPS coordinates.

  • The memory module is fireproof and waterproof, and allows for a quick swap-out in regional and remote areas if needed.

  • A secure hidden detailed log file will keep track of every access and every download.
