Description:
The new IK-WB02A network camera, Toshiba continues on the
forefront of IP-addressable surveillance technology. Featuring 802.3af Power
over Ethernet (PoE), the IK-WB02A requires only a single cable to deliver both
communications and power, resulting in a reduction in installation costs of up
to 50% because it eliminates the need to install electrical wiring or power
outlets, while improving flexibility in camera placement. "Besides cost
efficiencies, one of the great things about PoE is that it assures continuous
surveillance in the event of a power outage by delivering battery backed up
uninterrupted power via the local area network. Other key features include an
ultra-clean 50dB signal-to-noise ratio for optimum performance with DVRs; 480TV
line resolution; 1/3-inch CCD imaging sensor; low light performance down to 0.2 lux@F1.0 with day/night imaging; and a wide
dynamic range of 2,500K to 10,000K. The IK-WB02A's two-way audio feature brings
increased performance to any video surveillance system, enabling security
professionals to see, hear and communicate with a remote location through an
Internet browser window. In contrast to analog-based systems, which require video
to be recorded onto tape, the IK-WB02A allows video to be recorded onto a hard
drive, making archiving and searching easier and more efficient. The camera's
embedded web server is designed to connect directly to a 10/100base-TX (RJ-45)
local area network to provide remote streamed JPEG video at frame rates up to 30
FPS and resolutions of 640x480, 320x240 or 160x120. It can be remotely
controlled using an authorized PC or Internet-ready handheld device. Compact and
lightweight, the IK-WB02A works with standard industrial mountings
