For years, we've been looking for a decent solution to the problem of "making
local camera feeds available on the internet." We evaluated dozens of "PC Based"
solutions (where you put a board in the PC and run software on the PC all the
time.) None of these systems performed well enough or were reliable enough for
us to feel confident in selling. We knew that the problem required a standalone
solution. There are several standalone products on the market, but they are all
very expensive (roughly twice the price of these units.)

a killer product, at a reasonable price. A long time in development, but it was
