Axis, the world market leader in network video products, has signed up to all
the Norbain LIVE events taking place around the UK. This takes the number of
participating suppliers to 31, a new record for the show.
This will be
the first LIVE event that Axis has attended, and highlights the growing emphasis
on IP in electronic security. Steve Gorski, UK managing director of Axis
believes that LIVE06 provides them with a unique opportunity to showcase their
products to security installers and integrators, who play an important role in
the market transition from analogue to digital. "The shows give us the chance to
educate them on the benefits of the technology as well as the market opportunity
for them," he explains.
Axis and Norbain, both leaders in their
respective markets, form an important partnership for the UK where the CCTV
market is currently in a transition period from analogue to digital. Because
analogue technology is so widely used here, it's important for resellers to
understand IP technology and the benefits it can bring their customers.
See it first at LIVE06 Visitors to LIVE06 will have the first
opportunity to see the newly released AXIS 212 PTZ network camera, for indoor
security and surveillance. The camera incorporates a digital PTZ device that
provides instant pan/tilt/zoom functionality as well as automatic patrolling.
Users will be able to see the entire field of view on a single monitor,
selecting specific areas of interest with a single mouse click. The camera then
instantly pans, tilts and zooms to the designated area.
Demonstrations
will also be available on the AXIS 216FD, AXIS 225FD, AXIS 221 and AXIS 241Q
Video server - as well as their management software, Axis Camera Station.
